Happy Holiday’s folks!
It’s been a wild ride in 2006, always seems to be that way for me on even numbered years. But like always we all managed to somehow survive lifes up’s and down’s. And now it’s (well was) Christmas soon to be a whole new year.
Hope everyone had a great holiday, and to those who didn’t, buck up — there’s always next year.
Get anything good this year?
News around the globe has been that one of the most used programs that’s not an OS or Minesweeper would land today. What is this magical program that has all the tubes a buzz?
Adobe Creative Suite 3.
I don’t know much about it, other then it having Mac-Intel support, other then that I didn’t pay attention to the RSS feeds. So that should make things speedy for a lot of people who got those Macbooks and Macbook Pro’s early on with no speedy Photoshopping abilities (thing was slow as a wet boot in mud).
Since it’s a beta I suppose it won’t be feature complete, but will probably be enough for daily use.
I wonder though, since Adobe has never really been too speedy on updates, will CS3 be ready for the folks on Vista and Leopard?
Ever just wanted to do something totally outrageous? Be it TP’ing someone’s house, egging someone’s car/house, or drawing a penis on the roof of your school?
Last one was a bit of a surprise right? Well some intrepid students at a school somewhere in England did just that. It was even seen from space. Check out this link, filled with ginormous painted penis goodness.
Seems like everyone has been either copying or trying to make their own shadow based advertisements. Probably because they’re clean, simple and are an easy way to divert focus onto the product and not the people in the ad.
Welp, seems like Apple believes the shadows are theirs (sounds kinda ominous doesn’t it? like welcome to the dark side or something) and are telling the creators of the iBuzz to stop using the Apple-esque ad’s to promote their lady pleasers.
Any ladies buy this thing anyways (iBuzz)? Is it fun for you to diddle yourself to your favorite Britney Spears track? I’m interested. Please enlighten me of your ways.

Who would’ve thought this time last year that the Bears would have the (tied) best record in the league AND a another player in the record books?
I mean sure we thought we’d be in the playoff’s since we made it last year riding the tails of our defense. It even looked for awhile that we would be doing that again due to Rex Grossman’s horrible play. But dagnabit, Rex had a pretty good game and Devin “You Can’t Catch Me” Hester broke out 2 returns for TD’s — first player in NFL history to have 6 TD’s on returns. Hell he even made a few decent plays at his defensive back position due to the loss of our already (IMO) crappy secondary (I still don’t like you as a player Peanut Tillman, but you seem like an okay guy, just not an okay CB).
As usual it was a fun night for the defense with Brian Urlacher & co. servin’ up huge hits that made everyone wince, and it seemed like the coaches game plan went off without a hitch.
So um congrats guys, and here’s hopin’ you don’t lose in the first round ’cause I wanna see you guys go up against the Chargers.
Anyone think maybe Devin Hester can get Rookie of the Year even though he’s mostly been a return guy?
Welp I’ve been participating in the cool as beans Macheist that’s been going on, and sadly it’s coming to an end. But everyone who took part in them, including me, probably had a blast on each and every heist. Sad to see it go, everybody loves a little mystery, especially when a prize is at the end.
Seems like this is the perfect time to be a mac user considering all of the free swag you can get this month.
Since the heist’s are ending, the bundle will go on sale at 9AM EST with each app that will be in the bundle will be revealed every hour until the sale. When the bundle first goes on sale, the first 10 people will get their bundle for free.
Considering what the macheist IRC chat looked like, my chances of getting that free bundle will be like me getting that Amazon XBox 360*.
* I really wanted one.
If you donate maybe I can buy my own.

UPDATE: LMAO looks like mac users can be just as fanatical about free swag as anyone. I log on to the site to see what the last application will be (TextMate by the way, great piece of software too) and it’s being hammered so hard that it looks like it’s going to end up like that fabled Amazon XBox offer.
UPDATE 2: Well to be honest, the only thing that really interests me is Newsfire (prettiest RSS reader for OS X IMO, endo is a close second). Ah well, there’s always MAAD.
Congrats to those who got those first 10 apps.
So I’m an avid Madden fan. Been playing since I could pick up a controller really (I’d say Madden 94 or something was my start, don’t quote me on that though). But seeing as how my XBox is out of commission, I’m stuck playing whatever game I can get my hands on for the PC. I played Madden 07 for a few months since the start of the season (GO BEARS!), and even though the game looks good, I was thoroughly upset that it didn’t have any of the cool features seen in game play video’s for the 360.
Why aren’t PC’s considered next-gen to EA? You can put the same hardware in a PC or better that a 360 or PS3 has. So why no cool mini-game stuff, or multiple players tackling? Because EA sucks that’s why.
But Madden isn’t the reason for me complaining right now, my gripe right now is purely with EA for saying Need For Speed: Carbon was Vista ready when I can’t even finish 2 of the 3 starting races!? I get past a certain point and bam, crash to desktop for no apparent reason.
I’m not the only one with this problem either, and as per usual EA will take their sweet time to fix their problems. Sure am glad I don’t put money in their pockets other then for a Madden here and there.

So with the leakage of Nas’s upcoming album, I guess you could say it was widely anticipated since it was his first on Def Jam under Jay-Z as prez, I’m going to review it for you. My ears are now your ears, now let’s see what we hear.

Who doesn’t like McDonald’s? A lot of people, and for good reason. In all honesty, most of the time like many fast food restaurants, the food is GROSS (been usin’ that word too much lately, okay it was only one other time, but still) and greasy. So what is a town to do!? Um… not buy food from them durr.
And that’s exactly what one town in England (do ya really think any town in America can do the same?) did. The town of Tavistock, Devon who are apparently known for their healthy lifestyle, have done just that.
… after seven years struggling to make ends meet in a town that has won many accolades for the quality of its food, McDonald’s will finally shut up shop on Saturday
And how did they manage this magical feat you may ask? I mean they did last 7 years right? Well the only reason they lasted that long apparently is due to the kids not getting a tasty school lunch. And since that changed, no more Mickey D’s, no more Ronald McDonald terrifying children as he pops out of the ball pit.
Good riddance is probably what they’re saying… But where are they going to get their cheap Hot Wheels and Barbies from now?

Now this could either really suck, or suck not so much. Still µTorrent is the best torrent application for Windows, so hopefully I won’t be pulling a Nostradamus or something.
“What does this mean for the Torrent community? Not much, at least not at first. The intention is to maintain the website as it is, and keep the forums and community active.
Torrents on your cell phone anyone?
