XBox 360’s defective

Other then the catchy headline, it’s mostly true. Microsoft has admitted that recently (last 19 month’s) produced 360’s are indeed defective.

Microsoft has admitted that every one of the 11.6 million Xbox 360 consoles sold in the past 19 months suffers from a design flaw that could cause the device to fail.

The firm will extend the warranty coverage from one to three years to compensate consumers, but does not plan to instate a recall or exchange programme.

Now lord knows, considering this is an Aussie site, here’s hopin’ that means for us Americans too. I’m assuming so, ’cause I doubt every Aussie has a 360 in their living rooms anyways. Especially considering Sony Australia touting the PS3 as more a Blu-Ray player then gaming system.

But the main thing here is… I’m covered! Woo Hoo! Hope it breaks when they come out with a cooler, less problem riddled version. Knowing my luck it’ll break year 3 and a day.
